Learn what’s next for care providers: Key insights from our latest CQC webinar
We recently conducted a webinar on CQC Update – What Next from the Regulator? led by legal experts Carlton Sadler and Tracey Longfield from Bevan Brittan LLP, this insightful webinar delved into the latest regulatory updates and what they mean for care providers like you.
Carlton, a leading authority in health and care regulation and Tracey, a solicitor advocate with over 25 years of experience, shared their expertise on some of the most critical issues facing the sector today.
The session began by unpacking the Care Quality Commission’s new Single Assessment Framework, which came into effect in April 2024. This new framework replaces the previous Key Lines of Enquiry with a more dynamic and evidence-based approach, designed to reflect real-time quality outcomes across services. This change represents a shift toward a more responsive model that will better capture the true performance of care providers.
We also discussed early findings from the State of Health and Adult Social Care in England 2024/25 report. Carlton and Tracey highlighted some of the key challenges facing the sector, including workforce pressures, financial difficulties and ongoing inequalities in access to care. These insights are crucial for anyone navigating the complexities of care delivery in today’s climate.
The webinar continued with a look at the CQC’s consultation on Better Regulation, Better Care and what providers can expect from the proposed changes. The session concluded with an update on recent CQC prosecutions, underscoring the ongoing importance of compliance and accountability in the sector.
This webinar is packed with expert guidance on how to prepare for the regulatory landscape ahead and we encourage you to watch the recording to ensure your business is ready for the changes.
